Peru is the 10th largest coffee exporter, known for its cooperative production and fair trade practices. Despite poor infrastructure, development groups have aided farms in obtaining fair trade and organic certifications. The main coffee production regions are San Martin, Amazonas, and Chanchamayo. Peru ranks fifth in Arabica bean exports, and its often-overlooked coffee still boasts exceptional quality.
Peru Organic
Specialty beans with a cupping grade of 81-84 originate from Satipo and Aprocanorsi coops in San Ignacio and Central Amazon. These coffees offer a delightful aroma, smooth and creamy body, balanced fruity flavor, mild acidity, and a clean aftertaste. Palates discern chocolate undertones, malt, and a sweet, fruity aroma.
